I attempted to run the commands you posted but the startup sequence never gets to a command prompt. It stops here. This did not happen in previous versions. I was always able to login then enter commands.  However, the snakeoilos web app still launches and I can change music players. Saving the player has No effect on my lms non starting problem. 

You might have disabled console, see here on how to enable the console (a reboot is required).

Alternatively, try out 1.4.1 which I hope to release soonish (either today or tomorrow).

Look, after trying this test build almost a month, a friend of mine (using mini pc) and me (NUC) experienced intermittent disconnected from music playback softwares.  And then will be reconnected automatically after few seconds.  My friend uses MPD only.  And I use Roon Server only.  We've set the corresponding process to priority 99 and assigned CPU core to USERS.  Both got SO upgraded from previous version, not a fresh installation.

The screen cap is from my friend.  I seldom stay at SO webui, so I didn't notice it.  To me, the Roon software on my mobile phone will be disconnected from server intermittently, and seems no pattern to me.

Any idea?

Hmm. I didn't notice that... Let's see if it will happen in official 1.4.1  when it's out... Hopefully the logs can tell me what's wrong then.

Snakeoli will stop and restart the players when it's restarting. So that will explain the intermittent disconnection. Do you know which page he's at when it's happening (Should be in the library page)?
