Not tested this on raspberry Pi, will look into that.

Hmm. I have tested normal kernels and that worked, but not with RT kernel. Will have to investigate this.

Will look into that. Also btw, Wifi configuration will be supported in a future release.

That will in a future update.

This is the quirk of the new Qt framework I guess. Everything is event based now. And right now the event handling is notified there is contents later. This kind of uses less CPU power, and in theory should make this more RT compatible (preemptable). Will see if I can improve on this once the dust settles.

Enjoy your holidays!

I am almost certain it's still happening network activity looks very unusual. But to be honest I'm still unsure what's happening. Probably why it's best to update the blog and wiki software as soon as I can (hopefully next week).

Will also reboot the servers. Maybe this will cause these kids to move on to something else.

Hmm, I wonder. What happens if you remove IRQ/ and just keep the tail end, did that work? Have filed a ticket and see if I can handle this better.

just installed 1.4.1, unfortunately LMS isn't working for me on my Pi5. It just doesn’t seem to want to start. Rolled back to 1.4.0 and LMS works again.

Hmm.. LMS startup failed? If yes, can you click on the eye to look at the LMS logs and see what it's saying?

Thanks a lot, AK.

Look, I've spent 5-6 hrs today to listen 1.4.1-Alpha-1 seriously.  There is quit a difference in sound.  The tone, focus, density, sound stage, and distribution of spectrum are clearly changed.  Just like there is a gear replaced.  To me, in my system, all these aspects are improved without noticeable trade off.

The change is so substantial that, in order to accommodate change and reconstruct a "proper" focus and sound stage, I've moved my speakers several steps (5mm a step in my practice), in and out, to and fro.
Now I'm very happy for the outcome.  I think the sound of 1.4.1-Alpha-1 is a very good job.  Thank you very much again, AK!  Bravo!!   [Image: good_job.gif]

Yes, LMS startup failed. The LMS logs don’t seem to be available, it’s just showing as crossed out.

Can you SSH over to the computer, and run
Code:
sudo systemctl status lyrionmusicserver
Hopefully it will show some useful notes in there on why it failed.

Do you mean the code to switch kernel for Intel/amd isn't working? It was working when I was doing the re-write. I'll double check that again later this week to confirm.

Look, yesterday I helped a friend to update his SO system.
Scenario:
1) updated to this alpha version;
2) updated the ubuntu RT kernel from an older RT kernel;
3) after "OS Update" "apt full-upgrade -y" "apt autoremove -y" several times and reboot several times; Ubuntu still use the older RT kernel;
4) of course, the Kernel switch function doesn't work.

So, this "kernel switch" bug also preventing ubuntu from using newly updated/installed kernel.

Will look into the kernel switching thing soon. Currently working on general website revamp so can't really stop that.
