I've tried 23.10, but no go. I'll see if I can find 23.04 - it's not on the RPi Imager AFAICS.

That kind of sucks? 23.10 is supposed to work with Raspberry Pi 5. I'm going to order the Pi 5 only in Jan so it'll be a while before I can get my hands on.. While you can test the Raspberry Pi OS now, to be honest, Ubuntu just feels faster and more responsive (as it should as Ubuntu is streamlined for speeds while Debian is more for generic support)

I should have added with SnakeoilOS. 23.10 is running happily on the RPi 5.

As 23.04 hasn't been prepared for the 5, I'm not going to be trying it out. What I will be doing is to try Alpha 2 again. It took me three attempts to get Alpha 1 to reboot on the 4 for reasons I don't understand.

My pi5 is in the  mail and should arrive this week. I have both 23.10 and 23.4, along with the new pi bookworms waiting to compare with ubuntu versions. I am running the ubuntu 22.04 + raspi kernel on my pi 4 and it usually stable but does occasionally have a bit of distortion - I cannot determine any characteristics that given songs share, but will keep at sussing it out.  Overall a great pleasure to use, and I am learning to enjoy mpmpd as well...
