Not working for me. I am using Logitech Media Server Version: 8.2.1, UPnP/DLNA Bridge v1.82.1.  I  can see on SnakeOil Player tab that LMS and Upmpdcli are both running with thier own PID.  But the UPnP/DLNA Bridge plugin does not see the Upmpdcli player at all. I have tried cleaning the config and regenerate, uninstalled Bridge plugin, uninstalled Upmpdcli, and re-installed both, all to no avail.

I'm using the stock 8.0.1, but the Bridge is same as yours (1.82.1) so it should still work.

I even re-visited what I wrote in the wiki, just in case I forgot something.

Previously, I recall having to wait several minutes for upmpdcli to start, but now just does not show up after waiting at least 10 minutes.

It should start immediately? Having said that I don't have a lot of active experience with this.

I have not tried going under the hood, never had to previously. Is there something that I should look at?

First thing to do is probably update to the official 1.2.2, and see if it still is a problem.

Go to the LMS web portal, click on settings, and go under information. Confirm the DLNA renderer is not in there, and then check the log files and find out why.

Also, the wiki hasn't been updated, and the error checking isn't fool proof, when you turn on Upmpdcli, you have to select a MPD to go with it as well, and then configure. Unlike the old times where you only start upmpdcli+LMS, it's upmpdcli+LMS+Some_MPD.

While trying things, found a potential bug with Expert Player. Had both LMS and Upmpdcli running, and then uninstalled Upmpdcli. Could not reconfigure Expert Player until I re-installed Upmpdcli.

Oh... That's something the system doesn't expect.. Hmm.... I wonder how to fix that.. I'll file it as a bug and will fix this in the next release. Usually when the player is being used you can't uninstall the application from the WebApp. But you still can uninstall it manually from a session, and that might be an issue..
