1.4.0 Beta 2
#1
Thanks to the bug reports for beta 1. Here's hoping beta 2 is of a higher quality.

Please go here for the 1.4.0 beta 2 page for information. Havn't quite work out how to document all this installation as I'm working on so many fronts at the same time it's confusing me. Big Grin

Note, while it's technically possible to install this on older (or newer Ubuntu) it's not recommend. Builds for other versions will be created if there's a demand for it. This include different versions of Ubuntu, other variants of Linux (Rocky, Mint, etc). This is something that cannot be done before in the old system, but it's something we can do now.

Hi Kith
Great that you are back again, please take it easy so you don't burn out.
Please don't forget to add support for JRiver 32 and 33, I can't find any notes of it in the change logs.
Have a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

One more thing. You cannot have both Logitechmediaserver and LyrionMediaServer coexist as they are effectively the same name (just different "branding"). So moving forward Logitech media server will no longer be supported - as it's not possible to support both given how the Logitech and Lyrion packages are designed.

Currently using Lyrion Media Server 9.0 and Squeezelite 2.0.  My above test included Logitech Media Server for checking purposes only.

Since you are compiling a players list, Roon Bridge installs. HQPlayer NAA cannot install.  I know people who are interested in testing these (but I am not using them and cannot test).

For beta 3.
Fixed missing mpd-v23 and some squeezelites.

Will see what I can do with NAA. Probably just need to update the paths.
Will also include Squeezelite 2.x in too.

Merry Christmas y'all!

Fixed most issues. Can't really do much about cpuset as that problem seems to be part of Ubuntu packages.

However, just found out Lyrion music server cannot start on Raspberry Pi running Ubuntu 24.04 for some reason. All the perl modules are already installed. Anybody know what the problem is?
