Snakeoil 1.2.6 Beta 7
#1
Beta 7, but really should be release candidate (I forgotten to add RC into my release streams, will rectify this eventually).
  1. snakeoil-armv7l-1.2.6-beta-7.fw
  2. snakeoil-x86_64-1.2.6-beta-7.fw
  3. snakeoil-installer-armv7l-1.2.6-beta-7.sh
  4. snakeoil-installer-x86_64-1.2.6-beta-7.sh

Will let this sit for a while here in test builds, and mark this as 1.2.6 gold sometime next week if there are no other major issues.

I did firmware upgrade and test of Browse on the phone and it works well!  Cool  Previous testing was on PC.

Thank you.  Only minor fixes to be done.
- Ram:  Delete button works.  But should Folder and File buttons be disabled?
- Message while transactions are running has fields not populated.  I assume this is will be done?

But should hide message about F12 (which works well) for mobile version?

- Minor display problem on mobile version when filename is long (PC version is ok)

Not too sure. Will leave it in for now, and re-consider down the road.

That looks like a bug. Will try and see if I can fix.

Yes, makes sense to do that (I think you can do a remote debugger to do this but let's not go there Smile).

For mobile vertical I think I'll use one item per row rather than 2. It's too cramped otherwise. It will still not fix this issue if the filenames are long though. That'll be fixed later (trying to get the element width is strangely convoluted and I have yet to find a way to do this easily.

Will start working on this after work.. Really happy with this next release really, it fixes a lot of long standing bugs/issues that goes all the way back to the beginnings of this project.

Browse issue.

When a track is missing from a playlist, it correctly gives a warning but stops (& checked with F12).  Ideally, it should skip that entry and continue on.

With regard to this message
Quote:Do not exit this page. Press F12 and go to Console to monitor progress or problems if you suspect things have gone wrong.

Have already suggested F12 should be PC only, not for mobile phone.

Since the process runs in the background, a user can exit page at any time. However the "do not exit this page" suggest otherwise.  Maybe it should be changed to "If you want to check progress on your computer, do not exit this page".

Good point. I think will only stop when it runs out of space. Will have to check if that is doable (I think it can), but will double check.

That message is duo purpose, copying will be OK, but I'm not sure if you can exit the page when uploading files. I will see if it's possible to only show that message when uploading.

In the Wiki, you are using "File Manager". Given the recent improvements, should "Browse" be renamed?

FYI, I've installed SO in a freshly prepared UbuntuStudio 22.04 LTS with B7 sh successfully.
1) Installation - Work
2) Mount (NAS) - Work
3) MPD playback - Work

I look forward to seeing the new release.

Curious to know what are your cyclictest numbers with Ubuntu Studio 22.04?

Now it's running in a low end fanless PC, not in NUC, clocksource = hpet, didn't set any process priority and CPUset, nor CMOS optimisation.
