Initially on conception of this, there is supposed be an error If you select uppdcli without MPD. But that may not be what expert (x2) users want. A check for this will be implemented in with future versions - with the following logic when you select upmpdcli: audiophiles have a choice to use local MPD, or a remote MPD (enter IP:port). If choice is local MPD, there will be an error if no MPD is selected to start.
Current setup is a compromise for now as I really want to focus on the kernel builder over everything else.

Current setup is a compromise for now as I really want to focus on the kernel builder over everything else. I have both Mpd and Upmpdcli selected as players. I can point Mpd to the Audio input that I am using. I also need to point Upmpdcli to another output, which is a dummy output. I happen to have another output, but what about users who do not have that option? Yes, you have mentioned that this is a compromise for now, but can you please do a quick fix which disables the Upmpdcli Audio output field?

In reality Upmpdcli don't have any audio output, so I will just not show any configuration for audio output when starting that player. Added a ticket for this and it will be released in 1.2.6 (hopefully)
