@"uglymusic" Looks like Pi foundation is not going to get 22.04 LTS to work on Pi 5. But apparently 23.04 works. Can you try and boot 23.04 but still run the ubuntu jammy aarch64 script? I'm going to try doing this on the Pi 4 tomorrow.
As for releasing pre-built images. I reckon the hosting services required will be roughly AUD $200 to $300 per month. I just don't think it's worth it. I mean even if this project get enough money coming in, I just don't feel comfortable putting $200 per month just to have the capability to host big file downloads (and the build environment to keep those files).
Maybe I'm being more financially prudent, or AUD has absolutely tanked. Looking at the hosting prices, they're kind of shit right now to be honest. Isn't this week supposed to be black Friday and cyber Monday deals?
Australia home internet situation just makes hosting at home impossible (I don't even have a fixed Internet wire at home, only wireless and the speed to the Internet is a measly 10 Mbps with a very high latency). Different story if I'm living in HK or Singapore though.
Good thing is Snakeoil is an open sourced project with MIT license. Not stopping folks to provide this service to others. For users downloading pre-build images, just apply common sense and make sure any product you download and use is free from spyware and malware.
Will spin up a new beta 1. And then officially releasing Measurements. There's a mandatory shutdown period at work (Christmas to new year), I'm hoping to use that window to actually release 1.3.1 (with DSP), so 1.3.0 has to go out sooner rather than later.
Wiki updates to the new Measurements will have to come later. I didn't even have the time to update the software on the day job I'm working on.
