@skel , most interesting and thank you for providing the details. A novel way to apply convolution to Qobuz (& Tidal)  in the UPnP world.

An alternative to try is SqueezeDSP plugin, which is supposed to have convolution.  It is on my to do list to experiment.

SqueezeDSP I tried as well with no success. But is there a good tutorial for Camilla?

Best one is for the Pi, have to adapt for amd
https://github.com/mdsimon2/RPi-CamillaDSP
It is now easier to use as well with CamillaGui.

And we need to remind @agent_kith to put it back on his priority list !

It is. Will be working on this after I finished the Ubuntu Pro sub UI.

mpd.conf
Get configuration parameters error

 zeroconf_enabled "yes"

It should be:

I was using squeezelite 1.8 for years for its warmth, but squeezelite 2.0 blows it out of the water on my system. It brought focus and tightness to the soundstage. Everything sounds smeared on 1.8 in comparison. I can't wait to get the real time kernel in 1.4. Does anyone have any suggestions for the command line options in the player setup? I use -b. The buffer seems to improve the sound slightly.

For a long time, I preferred MPD. But Squeezelite 2.0 plus LMS Qobuz convinced me to switch over.

You can already do that!  Need to join Ubuntu Pro (free) and then enable the real time kernel
https://documentation.ubuntu.com/pro-cli...me_kernel/

Will soon update Wiki with more detailed instructions

Thanks @Snoopy8 Super simple instructions. I'm listening now. I feel like another layer of noise has been wiped away. It's so apparent with low level listening. I don't have to turn it up to get dynamics. Although, I may have traded a little sweetness for more detailed transients.

Update: I had to move my speakers back closer to the wall. Only an inch or two. The sound is super balanced now. It was a little too bright after the update.
