The logs should say "Coming soon"? Is that text showing up in your setup? When I say inefficient, most of the real estate on the right in not used (on a PC). Yes, coming soon is showing up.

The problem is really the backend, not the webapp. De-coupling everything and just run a list of software is more scalable. This is an alpha build, basically to get everything "linked and hooked up". Once the big things are working, the GUI will be cleaned up to be more intuitive. Already have some ideas how to clean this up.
As for that information blob, personally I do not read that at all, because I am well aware of what the players are capable of, and how to set it up. Also, more importantly what works with each other.
However, most users today only want to spend 10 seconds to use something, if the information is not presented to them now, they will claim the software isn't working. This is why that information panel is so prominent, and it will link back to the Wiki with even more information (in the future). Despite all this, I'm sure 95% of these same folks will not bother to read it anyway. So, . Maybe it is me??? The new Music Player is not easy to use. Does not help that legend is at bottom. Most people have no idea what "Gui available in VNC mean" (and I am not sure that I really know!). Yes, information blog should help a new user. But it drifts into SnakeOil philosophy. p/s never read that blog either, until now.
So, is this for the few people who use VNC and want multiple servers, players etc? Or is it for the many users we want to attract because it is easy to setup?
Please note that I am only 1 voice. I do wish others can contribute their opinions.

The logs will be working soonish... Hopefully by this wekend.

It's actually the #1 fund raiser for the Snakeoil project (At ~$10 a month). Hey any money is good money in my books)!

Do not really want to attract more users for now to be honest. The new format is really to de-couple how players are selected, chained and started/stopped. The GUI kind of reflects that logical order (i.e. code straight to GUI).. Based on your feedback, I think I will try and abstract this away. Folks don't have to know the details on how players are added, but under the hood, that's how it's gonna work (if you get what I mean).
Do not really want to attract more users for now to be honest.

Your voice may well only be 1, but it's an important counter-balance to make sure I don't get tunnel vision. Welcome to others to speak up too. Of course time is still a limited resource, but given time, everything will be realised .

I use Snakeoil as a roon bridge, tested a lot of soft, such as moode, volumio, dietpi, picore ... I think that Snakeoil as a roon bridge plays the best and is very stable. I'm waiting for the next Snakeoil releases, and more improvements to the sound quality in the roon bridge

There is only one system tweak - removal of PHP in the webserver running on the computer. This can be pretty resource intensive but I doubt it will translate to audio improvements. Even on a RPi4.
Having said that, I hope I'm wrong.
