[split] Real Time Kernels discussion

After manually updating the OS (in the System tab of OS webui), and choosing the RT kernel in "Linux Kernel" of "SnakeOil" tab and saved, the RT kernel is not listed in the boot up grub menu and the previous using kernel is used install.  

You are way, way ahead of me. Not sure whether these instructions apply here?

When I built my own kernel, I used these set of instructions.

Scroll to end of article, I can see the *.deb files in my folder and use the following command to install the kernel.
sudo dpkg -i ../*.deb

Otherwise, need AK to help....
 

The max latency is roughly 10 times less than lowlatency kernel, the rest are similar.

The only latency that matters is Max latency and the smaller the better = better SQ.
