Great otherwise but having fade-in fade-out on live recordings is not ideal.
Gapless playback should be in MPD (the player). What format are you playing? The last time I used MPD I remember it's doing gapless by default. I've only used FLAC/WAV so unsure if gapless is a problem for other formats (e.g. MP3).
