I'm only aware of RAM OS for Intel/AMD machines. Unsure if we can do the same with Pi5... I guess at the end of the way it's possible to create a tmpfs partition, move all the files into that and then chroot to that tmpfs and everything will run in RAM. However I do not really see any benefits of doing so on Pi since most boards are 4/8GB. Even the 16G model looks a bit thin.
And then there's the time required to copy the files from micosd/ssd to RAM. In the past I have a stripped down Ubuntu OS that's really small, but that is no longer true now with 1.3 and 1.4 series. I am unsure if anyway is happy to startup their system, wait for Snakeoil to copy files for 10+ minutes before music can play.
From memory (pun?), booting Snakeoil via PxE and cpuset, in my system cpuset is a far better tweak. I do not recall loading the OS in RAM is mind blowing for me, if it was I would have kept using it.
