Snakeoil Firmware - 1.2.10 (Gear Isolation U10)
#11
Ubuntu 22.04 installed to t520 with do-upgrade-release.
I dropped the firmware to the drive with FileZilla from my Mac, and changed the permissions to 775 and rebooted.

LMS 8.2.1 sounds fine, and the system is working without any additional install needed.

Great release AK - really smooth

Is anyone using upmpcdli with this firmware?  It seems to be broken for me with LMS- can’t get it to start the unplnp bridge in LMS and no configuration file is found. This was working with 1.2.9.

Seems like this was an issue also with another version and then fixed?

Upmpdcli definitely working.  You need to start LMS, upmpdcli AND one of the MPD players. Please read Wiki

Read several times thanks.  I have LMS, MPD 23, and upmpdcli active on SO machine. Like I said have been using it already with prior firmware .  It was broken in a recent firmware right?  Seems like it was you or Bromf that identified it.

Using 22.04.1 Ubuntu.

Will try more later -  maybe try to uninstall/reinstall umpcdli/LMS or try earlier FW.

Got it.  Uninstalled/Reinstalled Upmpdcli and all versions of MPD - then uninstalled/reinstalled unpnp bridge in LMS.  At first it still did not start the bridge and did not show available upnp players in LMS - but then toggling between “static” and “non static” binary versions of the bridge in LMS started the bridge and showed the various players in my network again.

I am not sure if I toggled this before 🙈 so….

Anyway, back up and running now with 1.2.10!

Yeah, it says 'You need to register a forum account in order to download new Snakeoil OS firmware' at the start of this forum section. Clearly, I have a forum account.

I've tried the drag and drop method and used the Browse button, both on the SO web interface, although I can't promise I've tried both on each machine.

I'm not sure this will get you anywhere, but I'm not getting any UPnP Bridge crashes on my Raspberry Pi 4 (stuck on FW 1.2.9, of course  Wink ).
