Will follow @Snoopy8 suggestion and see if I can improve on this in the next release.

Yes. This works for me too.

Bug report,
Upmpdcli can't be installed thru SnakeOil WebUI. The installed software doesn't work.
I found following the official website's instruction works.

Ic.  Thanks.  As you advised, it's fine, just needs sometime to show

Thank you Agent Kith for your extremely hard work and support of Snakeoil OS.
In old tread related to umpdcli I told about my issue in 1.4.x versions. MPD do not start at boot, and I need to click "save" button(restart players). Then it works and restarts properly. From some investigation: on "save" button snakeoil runs stop, then start script for mpd. But on boot snakeoil runs this scripts in reverse order, start then stop. My PC is GB Brix with celeron N3350, Ubuntu Server 24.04, SO 1.4.1 was fresh install, then updates to 1.4.2 and 1.4.3 by WebGUI. I do "forced fix" by renaming stop script, but in price can`t properly restart mpd from gui. Can make pair of services that rename "stop" at boot, than back, but maybe there is more proper other solution.

LMS is kind of handled separately. Arm edition of Snakeoil uses development LMS because the stock 9.0.0 has bad perl libraries. LMS 9.0.0 works fine for x86_64 so I left it at that.

With Snakeoil, if you enable development tree by default you will always pull the latest update (this can be stable or development, whatever is newer). You can also fix the version, e.g. you can hold the Snakeoil packages at 1.4.3, and it will not be updated even when 1.4.4 is released. Right now I havn't released any development versions so this seems a bit vague, but hopefully when it's released you'll get a better idea.. Will appreciate if you can update the documentation for this when it happened. Just havn't had time to work on Snakeoil past 2 weeks as I'm tied up with a lot of other stuffs right now.

I have created a ticket and hope to address in the next update. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Which DAC are you using? Are you using USB to connect?

If you're open to trying some of the OS settings, let me know.

You're welcome, @emptor.  I don't know how to tweak the OS in grub.  I just set the cpuset, and the priority to some processes only.

For the DAC, I'm using the previous version of Rockna WaveDream DAC (the one without network function, purely a DAC).  My SO music server/player is a tweaked fanless NUC 10, and then USB to a Denafrips GAIA DDC to reclock the data, and then send to the DAC thru i2s. Shy

Hey @hkphantomgtr , so sorry, I missed your reply and I didn't reply. I did some tuning on the NUC itself including the following, like I said, I had chatgpt to help me
 ComponentStatusCPU Governor "performance"✅IRQ affinity (USB → CPU2/3)✅MPD real-time priority 99✅IRQ thread real-time priority 99✅
