With the right kernel, yes.

But a better way is to install Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (or other Linux variants) and use 1.2 Alpha4, which is stable.

I suspect, or should it be limited to Debian distro?  [Image: confused.gif]

My understanding is that as long as it has a Linux Kernel 3.3 or higher and a modern mother board, it should be OK.

Hi,
my name is Sredoje.
I have BOXNUC7i5BNK computer with installed "Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS Server" and Snakeoil 1.2.11.
My SSD drive is M.2 type.
This setup, for me, work very fine.
Can i upgrade my setup if change Ubuntu original kernel  wih your custom tailored RT kernel i which kernel will be best for that.
Thank yow for your answer.

Yes, SnakeOil should run with any kernel that is  compatible with Ubuntu 22.04.  A RT kernel is better than the standard kernel because it has lower latency = better sound quality. However, some people may still prefer normal kernel because it matches their music preference.

A lot of these kernels are out of date. Unfortuantely I still havn't had the time to sit down and continue my work on the kernel builder yet.

To answer your question, a lot of the drivers included here in this section don't have nvme support built in, as in the driver is stripped. However it's not difficult to re-compile these kernels to support whatever you need as the configuration is included inside the zip file.

You can customise and re-build your own kernel based on the settings given in the zip file, or wait for me to sit down and get the kernel builder site up (been years and still havn't gotten to do it Sad)
