Hi all,
Is there any plugin, firmware, or module to add a display to player running snakeoil. which can show album art etc.

What player/server are you running?

This is how LMS handles album art

Mpd players do a subset of LMS.  MAFA, which I use can also read embedded alb art.

This,  of course, assumes that you have organised your album art properly in the first place.  This is not a trivial exercise.

If you mean plugging in a monitor to the computer and display graphics, then no. It's not supported. Or more correctly, it's disabled. Tongue

Snakeoil PC should not load any graphics modules (drivers), run a Graphics desktop, and terminals. Subjectively, running these affects sound quality....  I've configured my remote client to display album art and playlist, and I control the playlist from my mobile phone (or tablet).

Having said that, you have full administrative rights to the PC so you can easily re-configure your Snakeoil PC to start up a graphics desktop and display album art and playlist.

Yeah, understand that use case. As said Snakeoil is not locked down so users can always add in this feature themselves. At least for now there's no issue (I think) created to add this feature. Snakeoil is designed from the get go to run "headless". i.e. no keyboard, mouse and monitor is connected to the PC. Only a network cable.

Not even Wifi :p
