@ Snoopy8 Can you download this RC-3, and after a reboot, show me the contents of /tmp/stdout? I would like to see what mount errors (if any).
You can get the contents by running "sudo cat /tmp/stdout"
Hopefully that will provide some clues.

Hopefully that will provide some clues. It looks like the network is not reachable! (ip address blanked to x.x.x.x). Will do more RC3 testing later.

Uninstalled all Squeezeplayers other than V2, uninstalled all mpd other than 23.15 and installed LMS9
Question: should LMS be loaded in install? Particularly for people using free edition.

Question: should LMS be loaded in install? Particularly for people using free edition. Have to manually install LMS for now. Because we are using a debian packaging now and technically LMS isn't strictly a requirement of snakeoil.

I have tested RC3 regarding remount NFS share now and I get almost the same result as with RC2, now it does not remount every time after an shutdown/restart I tried about 10 times and 8 times it remount. But the same problem could been there on RC also, I didn't test that many times before.
I have another idea, is it possible to use autofs ( https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Autofs)?, I have read good things about it and shall give it a try the next time I reinstall Linux Mint.

Reboot and see what happens? Changed and problem still there. And same problem on Pi5. I could also try the CM4? But given I can reproduce the problem consistently, the issue is not likely the NUC (NIC is Intel i219-LM GbE), nor my network. The Synology NAS may be a factor, but it is one of the most popular NAS around, so other users will likely encounter this. The main suspect is still Ubuntu 24.04 and how it starts up the network. Does work with Ubuntu 22.04 on NUC (and if required, will test on Pi5).

And something to add for LMS. If user installs material skin, the Remote on SO should point to material skin, not standard web interface.

Will probably add that latency as a snakeoil option down the road. Just need to figure out the network issues first, looks like Snakeoil still starts _before_ network is up (which looks impossible).
Snoopy, can you try and disable/enable snakeoil-rest and try again? Maybe need to do that for this to work.
To do so, run the following:
sudo sysemctl daemon-reload
sudo systemctl disable snakeoil-rest.service
sudo systemctl enable snakeoil-rest.service
Now see if it will work properly this time.

Also, no longer possible to set static IP address in SO Networking tab. After reboot, it reverts back to default config, as defined in netplan.
Was going to test static IP to see whether it helps...
