Happy New Year!   A thorough RC2 test on Pi5 Ubuntu 24.04

Yeah, as mentioned before this is a "notice" not an "error". Ignore this for now, here's hoping once Snakeoil can be installed via a apt repository this notice will automatically go away.

[*]Network Tab.  Showing Wlan0 DHCP, when it is disabled.  Eth0 enabled with proper ip address but display not showing DHCP.  Cannot change.

This is normal. You can't change ethernet settings from the network tab yet. Hopefully will address this in the future.

[*]After SO config restore, File uploaded. Press OK to begin basic configuration restore.  Button is showing System.  This error has been there for a long time, never bothered to report!

Filed a bug report for this. Will be fixed in RC-3.

[*]Still requiring manual upload of NFS folders after reboot.  Tried changing service to "Requires", which resulted in long boot time but did not fix problem.

Can you show me a screencap of your NFS configuration? This is really unusual and shouldn't be happening.

[*]On Available Music Software (Basic), selecting Logitech Media Server + Sueezelite does not load LMS.  This is important for unactivated users. And when trying to install in System/software

Filing a bug report to fix this. Will try to also hide this if LMS isn't installed.

All these works for me. Please double check if /media/snakeoil_cache folder exists, and if yes double check your networking setup.

Please do test this on the NUC also. Things should work, but just in case.

As part of the 1.4 release,  should highlight the availability of the out of the box RT kernels for Ubuntu 24.04

And a reason not to go Bookworm for the Pi.

Bookworm (as well as other distros) will be supported in the future. That's the point of moving to deb packaging. Just going to support noble for the initial 1.4.0 release for now, with more to be added in later releases.
