OK. I can report that Ubuntu LTS doesn't run.

The latest Raspberry Pi OS does. But SO Alpha 2 doesn't run on the RPi 5, while it does on a 4.

The workaround to run the current SO version doesn't work because the older version of Raspberry Pi OS I've been using on RPis 3 and 4 doesn't run.

Investigations are still ongoing.
