Hello agent_kith. My mini PC support booting UEFI only, therefore I could not try Snakeoil OS yet.

I'm wondering is there any methods to install latest beta fw on my mini PC, which is running ubuntu server LTS 16.04 64bit and RoonBridge 64bit.

Snakeoil firmware is the web app (and some software players). It still requires a custom version of Ubuntu to run, and 16.04 is not "streamlined" enough, it's also using systemd by default, which the webapps isn't compatible with.

As such you can't expand the beta firmware on any non-snakeoil OS easily.

The Snakeoil OS itself contained inside the ISO is actually already UEFI compatible (it uses grub2)... It's just the ISO container itself isn't. Quickest and easiest way is to just re-author the ISO into a UEFI image and write it to a USB stick and it will work... I hope to get that ready for the next release but I don't have an ETA yet as I'm still finishing other stuffs.... Apologies for the delay, will let you know once it's done.
