Am testing a daily build of 24.04 right now (or rather 2 weeks ago)... To be honest it still feels unpolished. This close to official release is quite concerning.. I am OK with either 1.4.0 or 1.3.x, as long as it is bug free..

(This post was last modified: 20-Jun-2024, 06:34 AM by Snoopy8.)
My consolidated list of bugs yet to be fixed in 1.3 / 1.3.1. X86 version has fewer bugs than ARM version,
NUC X86 Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS- LMS installing 8.4, not latest stable version 8.5.2
Workaround : download 8.5.2 from https://lyrion.org/lms-server-repository/
Sudo dpkg -i logitechmediaserver_8.5.2_amd64.deb
- LMS Web link not working
Workaround: on browser type in "LMS Ip address":9000
Pi 4/5 ARM Bookworm- LMS installing 8.4, not installing latest stable version 8.5.2
Workaround : download 8.5.2 from https://lyrion.org/lms-server-repository/
Sudo dpkg -i logitechmediaserver_8.5.2_arm.deb
- Occasionally, install script crashes at LMS install, but can be fixed by rerunning script (will note error in future and post here)
- NFS libraries (on a NAS) not loading at boot time
Workaround: manually load Music Library after rebooting
- MPD (dsd-018) is installed automatically, cannot uninstall
- DOP not working with LMS, Squuezelite
Workaround: download Squeezelite R2 from https://sourceforge.net/projects/lmsclie...ite/linux/
tar -xvf squeezelite-2.0.0.1465-aarch64.tar.gz
sudo mv /var/www/players/Squeezelite-R2/squeezelite-R2 /var/www/players/Squeezelite-R2/squeezelite-R2-old
sudo mv squeezelite /var/www/players/Squeezelite-R2/squeezelite-R2
- Squeezelite R2, Ralph have problems playing some Qobuz tracks (and always the same ones). Works on X86.
Workaround: Download Squeezelite R2 (see above).
Will update this list as I remember or find more.
Am keen to see a wider take up of SO on Pi5 once bugs have been fixed. SO on Pi5 easily beats moOde for SQ, and will beat commercial streamers costing thousands of dollars...

Hi
I like to add the following points to the bug list for NUC X86 Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS:
- In Music Player / Software the status for JRiver is flashing red and never go to green.
- Add support for JRiver 32.
Please see here for more details: https://www.snakeoil-os.net/forums/Threa...88#pid7288
Thanks.

In my experience, SO running Squeezelite on an RPi 3 beats moOde!
I think I may have some more to add to the above, but you may have already supplied some solutions, so I'll hang back until I have time to review.
