[SOLVED] Can't mount cifs share
#1
Hi,
Having trouble mounting my cifs share
I used to use Daphile, And used this to mount the share:

cifs://[email protected]:/Music

I use a Synology NAS that is password protected

Share on NAS is:

Music@Volume1,Available:3.21 TB, Total: 3.58 TB

Would just like to Know how to enter the share in Snakeoil OS Mounts point configuration

Thanks in advance,

Tony

Hi Tony,

Under "Media", enter this:
Code:
//192.168.1.123/Music

Set "Mount Type" to:
Code:
CIFS

Once you set to CIFS, you should see "Windows Authentication" pop up. Put this in the "Windows Account" field:
Code:
Tony

And enter your password. If you know the domain or workgroup your NAS is in, you can put it there. (Should be safe to leave the domain bit blank).

Once you are done, hit the "Save" button and if everything works, you will see the music share mounted under /media/music.

You can read more about how to setup things up here.

Update: This could be the same issue as this. For now mark as resolved.
