[SOLVED] static IP long waiting time
#1
when I change the IP setting to static IP, during boot, the system will wait for 5 mins at this task:
A start job is running for Raise network interfaces (Xs / 5min)

but after 5mins, everything back to normal and the system is using the static IP.

I am using U6

Not getting this in my test environment. I do note that networking is waiting for something to be up first before continuing. For me the pause at that waiting for network is around 10 to 15 seconds.

Can you show me a screencap of your static setting?

My PC has 2 ethers, 1 is connected to router and the other one not use. When both use DHCP, no such problem. But after change the using one to static IP, the long waiting time occurs.

But I fixed it by disable the no use ether, the problem is gone.

Ah of course.. I'll test that later this weekend and see what happens.
