Problems installing Upmpdcli - koko6969koki - 07-Mar-2023 Hello, I have a problem installing Upmpdcli from the SnakeOil "Music Software" section. I'm still using Ubuntu 16.04.7 LTS with 4.4.9-rt17-snakeoil-x64 kernel and 1.2.1 (Gear Isolation U1) firmware. This is the combination I like best because of sound quality and user interface design and friendliness. At first I thought that the 1.2.1 firmware is outdated, so I upgraded to 1.2.9 , but I still have the same problem. This is the output I get: Hit:1 http://ppa.launchpad.net/jean-francois-dockes/upnpp1/ubuntu xenial InRelease Hit:2 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-security InRelease Hit:3 https://esm.ubuntu.com/infra/ubuntu xenial-infra-security InRelease Hit:4 http://rs.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial InRelease Hit:5 https://esm.ubuntu.com/infra/ubuntu xenial-infra-updates InRelease Hit:6 http://rs.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-updates InRelease Hit:7 http://rs.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-backports InRelease Reading package lists... Install finished with errors, please review the above output for reasons. Wht should I do? Is there an alternative way of installing it through command line? If you can, purchase a second SSD to install the latest version of Ubuntu (with RT kernel), and then compare the audio differences between the two. Pick the one you like. As mentioned due to very limited resources I simply cannot support multiple LTS versions.. Heck right now I don't even think I have the time to support 1 LTS version. ![]() RE: Problems installing Upmpdcli - koko6969koki - 09-Mar-2023 @agent_kith Thanks! ![]() In case I still like the old Ubuntu SQ better, is there a way to install Upmpdcli manually using some commands in terminal? If you choose to continue with 16.04, then please use the link below and request support from the author if necessary. https://www.lesbonscomptes.com/upmpdcli/pages/downloads.html This is limit of my own knowledge. AK is struggling to find time to even answer forum posts, let alone support multiple Ubuntu versions. Sorry, but you will be on your own with 16.04. |
