upmpdcli unable to start - Snoopy8 - 06-Dec-2022 SnakeOil 1.2.8 on Ubuntu 20.04 Through a series of mishaps (don't ask!), I went back to a backup version of SO which was on 1.2.6, and updated SO firmware. Uninstalled and re-installed upmpdcli (to get latest version). Upmpdcli gives the following error message when I try to start it: Executing: cd /var/www;bash "/var/www/players/upmpdcli/stop.sh" RE: upmpdcli unable to start - agent_kith - 07-Dec-2022 (06-Dec-2022, 01:33 PM)Snoopy8 Wrote: SnakeOil 1.2.8 on Ubuntu 20.04Hmm. that's an interesting one. Can you generate a diagnostics file and send that over to me? I think the sequence is when you click on Apply, the logic is to stop the player as it runs, and then start it. But becoz it wasn't running in the first place, it errors out. What happens when you restart the OS? Does upmpcli start up fine then? Rebooting does not solve problem. RE: upmpdcli unable to start - agent_kith - 09-Dec-2022 (07-Dec-2022, 06:29 PM)Snoopy8 Wrote:Got your file.. Got the similar issue on 1.4.x bootups. Stop.sh kills MPD on every boot. "Save" button on players page restarts MPD as normal. Commenting all stop.sh helps, but I think at some nasty price. RE: upmpdcli unable to start - hkphantomgtr - 09-May-2025 upmpdcli can't be thru snakeoil webui yet. It said it's successful but it doesn't work. One got to follow the installation steps in upmpdcli official website. It said it's successful but it doesn't work. I did use umpdcli installed this way in 1.3.x, and for few days now too. But when I updated SO to 1.4.1, I tried to use it from gui, and it worked fine for long time. I`m on free SO, so installed umpdcli from players folder by install.sh, maybe thats why it worked. My issue was not related with umpdcli for sure, but with mpd itself. Some snakeoil service runs stop.sh, which kills first after boot instance of mpd. My system is Ubuntu Server 24.04 rt-kernel, PC is fanless Gigabyte Brix with Celeron N3350. |
