How do I configure the music player options to convert pcm to dsd?
Is it possible on snakeoil to do that?

You can trial HQPlayer. None of the other music players can convert PCM to DSD.

That is not going to work on a mini pc. I believe roonserver has dsd conversion if I remember it right.

HQPlayer can run standalone but not friendly to use. Most people therefore use Roon with it. The whole setup requires a high end PC and licence is not cheap.

Whether it improves things is highly dependent on your system. In my setup,. the mastering of the DSD recording has the biggest influence on SQ, not the format (DSD, PCM) nor the sampling rate.
