Listening to collection on other devices? - RomanM - 05-Oct-2022 Hi all, Again, have read the FAQ, searched and browsed the threads here. Nothing obvious on what I gonna ask. It must be a FAQ, just point me to some guide please? Snakeoil is installed in the living room, connected to DAC and Amp, etc. All works beautifully there! However, I am in the bedroom with an Ubuntu laptop. Can I install some player on the laptop, connect to LMS on the SO machine, and listen through laptop speakers/headphones? I am comfortable with controlling LMS via it's web interface on the laptop or mobile phone, Material skin is great! So LMS would be "pushing" content down lan/wifi to the player. Right? What's that player software called? Thanks! Roman RE: Listening to collection on other devices? - RomanM - 05-Oct-2022 Looks like SqueezeLite is the answer. Seems to bind to the server and play, on Windows right now. Imagine the same on Linux. Problem (self)solved. https://sourceforge.net/projects/lmsclients/files/squeezelite/ C:\Apps\squeezelite-ffmpeg-x64.exe -s 172.27.31.81 -o 11 -n SL |
