A barebones Pi 5 is more than AUD120, without case, hats etc.  The Mercury V2 Streamer (CM4) is about AUD1400 landed (out of stock at moment, no price).

For me, a good LPS is an essential part of a streamer. I have been using Gieseler LPS for many years (and own several!) and believe they are good value.  However, if you use the Pi5 as the  baseline, then just about every decent LPS will be too expensive. You could end up missing out a major SQ improvements?

So, not 10x. I'm a PSU believer, believe me. I'm still waiting for my custom PSU for my main system, over a year on, but that's another story. I had the power supplies upgraded in my power amps etc etc.

I guess I was pondering how much, ultimately, my PSU habit might cost  Big Grin

RE: Measures 1.3.0 Beta 1 (Last test hopefully. - Snoopy8 - 14-Dec-2023

Using Mercury Streamer V2 (CM4) with Bookworm no desktop.  SnakeOil 1.3.0.1 (Measurements U0 BETA).

In Snakeoil / Linux Kernel / Current Kernel is 6.10-rpi7-rpi-v8.   There is another kernel  6.10-rpi7-rpi-2712 which I can select, save and reboot.  But it always goes back to the v8 kernel.  Works OK with X86 version.

While waiting for the fix, is there something I can edit in /Boot/Config.Txt?   Bookworm is now using initramfs (config, initrd.img, system.map, vmlinuz files) rather than kernel8.img (for Rpi4).  I have tried searching for clues but a lot of info point back to using gz files or kernel.

Once I can figure this out, I am hoping a custom RT kernel will work!

Thank you, I should have changed the issues list  Hope AK can fix quickly ?  If not, perhaps a manual workaround?

If you can manually set it up, it can also work
But I haven't figured it out yet

Sorry guys, been away all week from the project. I will add rt-tests during the installation (oversight!).

Think I'll be busy this weekend as I'm trying to fix up some stuffs on work, and I don't want to rush the release of 1.3.0 (take away the '.' and it's 13 - unlucky number?). Aim now is to release 1.3.0 sometime next week (probably weekend?)..

Aim is just have a single command for guys to run to install 1.3.0 (rather than the 3 we have now).

Although I'm almost certain Snakeoil build will also work on lunar (23.04), going to skip that for now to avoid complicating myself. Folks in the know can easily download the script, and modify it to run on Lunar. Smile
