RE: HQPlayer cannot find NAA on Snakeoil machine - a.dent - 28-Jan-2017 Hi TJ I get this when I try to upload thst kernel. ![]() safer org RE: HQPlayer cannot find NAA on Snakeoil machine - agent_kith - 28-Jan-2017 I hate my home Internet. ![]() I'm outside right now, will redo the upload later tonight when I'm home. Sorry about this. RE: HQPlayer cannot find NAA on Snakeoil machine - agent_kith - 28-Jan-2017 (28-Jan-2017, 10:57 AM)a.dent Wrote: Hi TJOK. Re-uploaded the file, and verified that it's ok. Once upgraded, make sure you're now on the IPv6 kernel. If it's not working, you'd need to install this to fix the kernel upgrade problem with Cryo 1.4: Kernel upgrade bugfix link (Then reupload the kernel again). This will activate the ipv6 network stack on the OS. Then SSH into your Snakeoil machine and start networkaudiod manually and if your HQPlayer sees the DAC now, it means their ipv4 stuffs seems to be broken and you are forced to be on ipv6. Hopefully that's not the case. Will cross that bridge if we need to. Let me know how it goes. Sorry for the long delay in responses, Chinese new year and all... ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: HQPlayer cannot find NAA on Snakeoil machine - a.dent - 29-Jan-2017 Still no luck. Here is my attempts te get NAA to start. ![]() ![]() fast image hosting Where did you find the old version of NAA? I think I may be better off just re-installing the older version. I just found a 7 month old version of NAA and it looks like it is detecting my DAC now. I tried this version before but no luck then. I can't actually listen ATM as a guest is staying in my listening room but I will get back to you as soon as I've checked. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: HQPlayer cannot find NAA on Snakeoil machine - a.dent - 29-Jan-2017 I just found a 7 month old version of NAA and it looks like it is detecting my DAC now. So it must be a IPv6 problem. NAA 3.4.0.-29 is the only NAA that works. The latest 3.4.2 does not work. RE: HQPlayer cannot find NAA on Snakeoil machine - agent_kith - 30-Jan-2017 Nice work. Let me know how that goes. ![]() RE: HQPlayer cannot find NAA on Snakeoil machine - scan80269 - 20-Feb-2017 Hi, just a quick note to say I ran into the same issue as a.dent with NAA and Snakeoil running on my fanless NUC5PPYH PC, with HQPlayer not seeing my KEF X300A USB endpoint. I followed this thread and updated the Linux kernel to x64-ipv6, and now networkaudiod 3.4.0 (amd64, Trusty) works like a charm! ![]() Thank you to Agent Kith & a.dent for blazing the NAA trail! Now my NUC is not stuck with running Windows NAA. ![]() RE: HQPlayer cannot find NAA on Snakeoil machine - agent_kith - 20-Feb-2017 (20-Feb-2017, 03:20 PM)scan80269 Wrote: Hi, just a quick note to say I ran into the same issue as a.dent with NAA and Snakeoil running on my fanless NUC5PPYH PC, with HQPlayer not seeing my KEF X300A USB endpoint. I'd update the NAA walkthrough steps to include the installation of the ipv6 kernel. ![]() RE: HQPlayer cannot find NAA on Snakeoil machine - scan80269 - 20-Feb-2017 I forgot to mention that to get networkaudiod to run properly each time Snakeoil boots, I have to SSH in and do a "sudo networkaudiod start" and enter my password. It would be great if there's a way to automate this. I'd look into this as soon as I get my test machine up and running.. Too many things on my plate, and too little time to get to them all... ![]() |
