I have been away during Alpha 2, forgot when I came back and downloaded the wrong image. Undoubtedly, newcomers will make the same mistake of using the desktop version with no remote access. Also please include instructions that default login user name is ubuntu, password ubuntu. Will be prompted to change password, and have to log back in.I messed up and didn't wait for the autobuild to finish when I posted. ![]() And yes, will probably have more information in the official post and in the wiki too. I could hook up terminal, but isn't the point here to test what should be the final headless install?Have to use raspi-config to enable SSH access. That's the way Raspberry Foundation decide to do things. Will include more information in the post. Or just running Squeezelite with LMS running from another computer. RE: Measures 1.3.0 Beta 1 (Last test hopefully. - agent_kith - 02-Dec-2023 It's all fixed now. Apologies for the FU. ![]() While it may seem confusing now running different command line for different distributions, official 1.3.0 there will be only one single command to run. And it's always that command to download the latest version. More information will be in the Wiki... Will need to re-do instructions on OS installation, including a video. Unsure when that'll be available but my focus will still be on getting DSP for 1.3.1... ERROR sudo: update-grub: command not found Check please Switch Kernel and reboot Always the latest version Still unable to work RE: Measures 1.3.0 Beta 1 (Last test hopefully. - uglymusic - 03-Dec-2023 So far, so good. I have the RPi 5 with Beta 1 and LMS 8.4.0 on Raspberry Pi OS working. I've been playing music most of this afternoon and it seems stable. RPis 3 and 4 have not yet benefitted from Beta 1. RE: Measures 1.3.0 Beta 1 (Last test hopefully. - criminalzen - 03-Dec-2023 There have been some changes in current pi os for setting up ssh and initial user. https://www.raspberrypi.com/news/raspberry-pi-bullseye-update-april-2022/ I struggled getting ssh and login working till I learned bout this change, and that there was a second page to the pi imager that enabled ssh. ![]() RE: Measures 1.3.0 Beta 1 (Last test hopefully. - agent_kith - 03-Dec-2023 (02-Dec-2023, 09:18 PM)wxrbbs Wrote: cm4 grub????I will remove this in the official release. I would say it's for the better? The only other change I would like them to do is to set (or prompt) a keyboard map switch. Default UK map do not work for me. Unfortunately I'm stuck working on my day job as we regressed somewhat over the weekend so can't dedicate more time on Snakeoil. Having said that, plan is still still release 1.3.0 next week some day. |
