Unable to install to SD-CARD - NoDisc - 28-Sep-2017

It's me again, the MacMini user.

So with the older version, and mac Kernel, I am able to see and use the SD-CARD with snakeoil.   I would like to install the new version onto an SD-Card, as this is how many of the newer Music Streamers operate.   SOTM / MicroRendu / UltraRendu etc.  It seems however that the Unbutu installer will not see the SD-CARD during installation.

Any thoughts on how I could install onto the SD-Card?

I'd build a new kernel with SD-CARD support. Check back later in approx 12 hours from time of this post and hopefully it'd be ready then.

@NoDisc. Kernerls are build, refer to this thread: link.

Thank you. I will download it now and give it a try.

Didn't work.  After following the instructions, and copying the vmlinuz file to the USB stick, and booting the MacMini I got a kernel panic.

. I'd try and build a new one to try later. Can you catch the message just before that?

Yes, let me get that for you.

Everything in your screenshot appears to be normal so far. Try this kernel and let me know how it goes. Without a mac mini here myself it's not very easy to test. Sad

Well no Kernel panic, but another problem.

My bad. Forgot there's CGroup in Snakeoil 1.0.x now. Try this new revision and see how far it'd go: Link

That installed. Unfortunately the MacMini does not see the SD card after reboot. So there is no way to test it.  Sad

I guess I can think about installing on the SSD.   Is there reason to believe the Sound Quality is better with the new release, and if so, what has changed to provide that?
